Spring Sudoku

Welcome to spring! Here in New England, it has warmed up, the snow is gone and the mud is drying up. I am clearing the branches and leftover leaves from my yard. I want my yard presentable. I am trying to come up with different ideas for my yard to make it different from last year. Landscaping, decorations, no more mole holes...
It reminds me I need to a break now and then from standard number sudoku puzzles. I solve the TV Guide puzzles that use letters every week. I like the varieties in my Will Shortz book (The Giant Book of Sudoku), like "Up and Down," "Alternate Corners," "Snaky Tiles," and "End View." Just between you and me, I found the "Spiral Galaxies" too difficult. The grid is wide open with circles that are the center of symmetrical sets of blocks. I tried a couple and didn't have the patience for the trial and error process.
I want to try some of the other variations like akari, heyawake, masyu, and nurikabe. These are all Japanese puzzles. And then there are the repeat-letter and diagonal kind. I'll get to them...
I'd like to know what kind you have tried and enjoyed. Let me know...
